French literacy course

SOLUTION organises literacy courses for adults based on learning basic French skills (reading and writing). All our courses are held on our premises at 3 rue du Borrégo in small groups of up to 8 participants.
These courses enable participants to acquire the following skills:

  • introducing themselves in a professional context,
  • filling in administrative forms,
  • writing and spelling their first and last names,
  • using an agenda,
  • making and keeping appointments,
  • cancelling or rescheduling appointments,
  • other language skills depending on the learners’ needs.

SOLUTION offers to migrants the following 2 types of French classes:

  1. FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE COURSES FOR PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES
  • Enable new arrivals to reach level A2 in general and professional French.
  • Strengthen their command of professional vocabulary related to the workplace so that new arrivals can understand and express themselves effectively in a professional setting.
  • To complement the existing offering with a targeted, modular, flexible approach that is connected to the job market.

2. FRENCH LITERACY COURSES

  • Recognise, name and write the letters of the Latin alphabet, in upper and lower case.
  • Decipher and understand simple words used in everyday life (e.g. name, address, days, places).
  • Write short, simple sentences that are legible and understandable.
  • Understand and use basic vocabulary (family, school, health, food, transport, etc.).
  • Fill in simple documents: forms, administrative papers, personal information sheets.
  • Gain independence in everyday situations through reading and writing (shopping, making appointments, etc.).
