SILVER : Social Inclusion through Literature, Visual Expression & Reading

  • Kaunas County Public Oak Grove Library, coordinator (Lithuania)
  • Fundacja Parasol (Poland)
  • SOLUTION : Solidarité & Inclusion (France)

The project started the 1st of October 2026 and will end on the 30th of September 2027 (12 months)

SILVER wants to create an innovative methodology combining book clubs and photowalks to support older adult’s social inclusion and fight age-related impairment thanks to physical and cognitive stimulation.

Therefore, SILVER has several specific objectives. The first one is to fight social isolation by fostering cooperation, engagement and integration thanks to the implementation of collective educational and cultural activities. The second objective is to improve beneficiaries’ physical mobility and wellbeing through accessible outdoors activities that encourage soft mobility. The third objective would be to promote open mindedness and dialogue by encouraging the exchange of views, critical reading and discussion of societal issues to foster critical thinking thanks to the implementation of book clubs. In addition, SILVER aims to strengthen the pedagogic skills of adult educators in active, participatory and inclusive methods to include vulnerable categories of adults.

Partners will work on the elaboration of:

  • A 12 hours SILVER training curriculum
  • Local implementations of SILVER methodology combining book clubs and photowalks
  • A dissemination campaign to raise awareness and spread project’s results beyond the partnership.
