INFLUENCERS is a 2-year project starting in September 2019 with the aim of promoting the inclusion of young people with disabilities. The INFLUENCERS partners are exploring the idea of using social entrepreneurship as a bridge to inclusion for people living on the margins of society, focusing specifically on young people with disabilities or chronic health problems. By providing them with the right tools, the project consortium believes that young people who have first-hand knowledge of issues related to disability or chronic illness can become influencers on social media and a reference for other young people living with the same kind of problems.

To achieve its ambitious goals, INFLUENCERS will develop the following online resources focusing on social entrepreneurship:

1. An online social entrepreneurship curriculum for young people living with a disability on how to develop their social entrepreneurship idea into a sustainable entity.
2. A digital and social media literacy programme on how to stay safe in online environments and a series of media-rich resources for developing digital and social media literacy.
3. An in-service training programme to introduce good practice guidelines for youth service providers to support the inclusion of disabled young people.
4. An online environment to help new young social entrepreneurs launch their careers online.
