Description
POETRY GOES OUTSIDE is a KA2 European project coordinated by a Spanish organisation, Dideas.
The goal of the project is to make young people aware of the cultural heritage of Europe and to get them involved in active participation in exploration of European poetry, in sharing and gaining knowledge about partners countries main poetry art pieces and authors.
Project’s objectives
- Develop a deeper understanding of the way how we can preserve and maintain our cultural heritage, mainly poetry;
- Learn about own cultural backgrounds, those of partner countries and friends from all Europe to enhance appreciation of the diversity of European Cultural Heritage and EU citizenship;
- Trigger civic enagement of youth;
- Involve Ukrainian participation and poetry;
- Foster creativity by poetry;
- Develop awareness about the similarities and differences of 4 European countries’ cultural heritage;
- Improve communication skills by teaching how to express more clearly and effectively – increase empathy and understanding, acceptance of diversity;
- Make the project materials inclusive.
Expected results
The project will develop the following results:
- Report from the research;
- Collection of poetry from each partner country and from Ukraine;
- Project graphic identity – website, logo, social media, brochures and posters;
- Partner meetings with poetry workshops, readings and recordings in each partners language by partners and youth;
- Poetry goes outside week – public recitations of poems.
