Project’s objectives
Social Action Photography with Head Heart Hands aims to promote young people’s active citizenship and activism through participatory art methodologies, such as social action photography and photovoice.
The specific objectives are:
– Developing active citizenship skills in young people through the promotion of values such as empathy, social inclusion and solidarity.
– Transmit to young people a method to capture with a new perspective some aspects of the context in which they live, through social action photography and photovoice.
– Encourage young people to become promoters of a positive change in reality, through the construction of a counterrepresentation and a positive narrative of the situation of marginality.
Project’s activities
Activity 1: Exchange of best practices and approaches exchange on creative visual methodologies for youth activation among the partners.
Activity 2: Training for Third sector entities on the use of visual art methods in their organisations for community development and social inclusion of young people.
Activity 3: Implementation of the educational method “head heart hand” with the use of photography with the young people.
Activity 4: Photography walks during which young people will practically implement what they have learnt in the workshops implemented during the activity 3.
Activity 5: Photo exhibitions in Padova, Paris and Rome.
