Description
UNITED-VIOLET is a KA2 European project coordinated by an French organisation, ARTIS Multimedia.
The aim of the project is to provide educators and professionals tools and resources to prevent Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and how to recognize them.
It aims to strengthen the skills of educators to better support transgender individuals and women in expressing their experiences and fighting against Gender-Based Violence. This project also intends to create a community network and provide culturally adapted training resources to raise awareness and offer protection against GBV.
Project’s objectives
- Increasing educators knowledge on how to recognize and prevent GBV
- Enabling educators to address sensitive topics with the women and transgender persons participating in their courses
- Providing educators with innovative resources allowing their learners to express themselves through narrative techniques, self-expression exercises and storytelling
- Supporting women and trans in facing issues related to GBV
- Empowering women and transgender persons
Expected results
The project will achieve the following results :
- Local workshops : to be organized to increase educators’ awareness of GBV issues and to initiate local training activities aimed at empowering self-expression among learners, specifically transgender individuals and women.
- Transnational training : designed to enable educators to conduct self-expression workshops addressing GBV issues with their learners.
- Evaluation and analysis : conducting evaluations and reports to ensure high-quality standards in all activities.
- Communication Campaign : aimed at raising awareness and informing a broad audience about the UNITED-VIOLET project and GBV-related issues.
