Yesterday, our association co-hosted a workshop with the Annam Social Center, blending the creation of natural cosmetics with an engaging game about menstruation. Participants had the opportunity to make an eye contour serum and a hair detangling cream together, using simple, natural, and health-friendly ingredients.
Around the tables, conversations quickly moved beyond the recipes: questions about ingredients, skincare tips, and personal stories about daily challenges arose. The workshop was not only a chance to share knowledge but also to strengthen self-confidence and solidarity among women.
The second part of the afternoon was dedicated to a fun and informative game about menstruation, designed by a woman with a degree in biology. Through questions, medical explanations, and open discussions, participants explored this still-too-taboo subject with lightness and kindness. Laughter, confidences, and moments of realization marked this time, proving once again that speaking freely about one’s body is already a form of liberation.
This empowering afternoon was part of the European project United Violet, co-funded by the European Union, which aims to combat gender stereotypes and promote women’s rights.
The exchanges naturally led to broader discussions about women’s rights and the importance of reclaiming one’s own body. The atmosphere -both relaxed and committed- allowed each woman to express herself without fear, to listen, and to be heard.
