This Monday, March 23, 2026, our association launched a series of four workshops dedicated to gynecological health, led by Mélanie, a midwife from the Protection Maternelle et Infantile (PMI) in Ivry sur-Seine. The first workshop, held at the Annam Street community center—which generously provided its facilities—brought together participants in an atmosphere that was both warm and committed.
The goal of these meetings is clear: to create a safe space for openly discussing intimate health, breaking persistent taboos, and raising awareness about gynecological and obstetric violence. This violence, whether physical, verbal, or psychological, is still too often downplayed or ignored, yet it affects many women during consultations, examinations, or childbirth.
The workshops cover essential topics such as medical follow-up, contraception, screenings, as well as recognizing violence, respecting consent, and the right to compassionate care.
The focus is on information, listening, and support, so that each participant can better understand her rights, identify risky situations, and find help if needed.
Mélanie and SOLUTION aim to provide a space for dialogue and bodily autonomy, accessible to all. The workshops are free and open to all women, regardless of age or background.
Gynecological health is not just about medicine; it is also a matter of dignity and respect.
These workshops are an opportunity to learn, share experiences, and reclaim one’s body with confidence.
The series continues with three more workshops, still led by Mélanie, at the Annam Street community center.

This first workshop confirmed the importance of creating spaces where women can speak without fear, inform themselves, and support one another.
