Today, M3Cube association came to our premises to deliver a marbled paper workshop during our weekly Women’s Café.
The principle involves applying dyes to the surface of a liquid to create patterns. When you place the paper on top, it absorbs the dyes and the patterns are transferred onto it.
These marbled paper techniques have developed particularly in Turkey. The Turkish art of marbled paper, known as Ebru, is, in fact, listed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list!
This workshop took place in the framework of the TALES project, funded by the French national agency under the Erasmus Plus programme.
Our participants enjoyed it a lot!
