What is Free Wome about?
Solution participated in the Free Women project (funded by European Solidarity Corps) as sending organization of French volunteers.
The objective of the project is to promote a place for strengthening women’s rights, to welcome and listen to those who risk being or are already victims of abuse, abuse and physical and psychological violence, accompanying them on their way out of the situation who generated them. It aims to provide listening and reception, psychological support, legal advice and assistance with free legal aid, deal with referrals to the healthcare system.
Specifically, Free Women provided two volunteering mobility for a service at the Siderea women center in Italy: the volunteers in the Siderea center helped to modernise and dynamise the professional environment, thanks to the integration of good practices and new methods to bring the added value of volunteers in the daily activities of the women living in the center.
Siderea also manages an anti-violence center, so volunteers could get in touch with this reality and acquire skills related to the protection of women.
