Objectives

Its general objective is to  to develop learning tools and training activities for young people to encourage their active participation in becoming active citizens of the European Union’s democratic life.

The primary target group of the project are young people aged 18 to 30 and the second target group of I-VOTED are youth educators, trainers and facilitators also working in Erasmus+ projects.

This project aims to reduce the distance between young people and the EU, enabling them to learn how to get involved in the democratic and civic life of the EU. Although many projects already exist to teach the history of the European Union and its institutions, few offer interactive exercises to enable young people to better understand how the Union works and to actively participate in it. Our belief is that learning by doing and simulation methodologies can help young people understand the EU, thereby increasing their engagement and participation in the EU’s civic life.

Results

The partnership will develop a Guidebook including SECTION 1 about interactive exercises, role plays and simulations of the EU institutions for the youth educators to deliver training activities to young people about the EU civic life, the roles of EU institutions and how to take active part in the EU, and SECTION 2 about the participation in EU funded initiatives for the youth.
