FACES – Facilitation Skills aims to develop the skills of youth trainers. A good youth worker can make a difference in working with young people (especially with sensitive target groups such as migrants, young people with educational difficulties or people with disabilities). This project therefore aims to provide youth workers with a space to reflect on their role and competences and to offer them the tools and methods necessary for their professional development.
The role of the youth worker is mainly related to learning, communication, intercultural issues, feedback and youth workshop design skills, in which he/she should be competent and aware. Above all, a good facilitator must be aware of his or her own learning styles. FACES will, therefore, focus on the facilitator’s role in communication and relationships to prevent potential conflict and violence (verbal and physical) and on new skills such as public speaking (useful in social life and in the job market).
